  • Planned and coordinated the move of large investment firm’s computer and telecommunications systems in a one month period, amounting to a $1 million effort. Included over 400 telephone pairs, ISDN X.25, modem banks, servers, fiber optic LAN installation on multiple floors, 200 PC’s, satellite feeds, voice recording systems and trading desk system.
  • Designed, developed, coded, tested and documented a permit processing system for a medium sized San Diego County organization which included 90 user screens using SQL under a fixed price contract. Platform was VAX 8800 with VMS operating system and Rdb relational database. Designed and coded relational database for material volatility under Rdb, SQL and VAX VMS using RALLY.
  • Designed, specified and installed 10 base-T LAN for medium sized manufacturer in North County San Diego.
  • Designed, specified and installed a LAN for advertising firm in La Jolla. Project included a proposal which specified all system upgrades, server configuration and installation, Internet connections and configurations, as well as systems administration.
  • Consulting support for Macintosh & PC systems, as well as their networks, hardware and software. Macintosh experience since 1984 as a user and a programmer. Provides configuration and software application knoweldge specific to user and organizational needs. Currently providing Web-based MS Access & SQL database applications for clients.

  • Designed and configured a multi-server, multi-platform network of a video display technology. Growth of the on-line business during this timeframe was 3-fold from $10k/day to $35k/day in a two month period. Configured TCP/IP, NetWare, and NetBUI to operate on multi-server production system using Novell SFT Level III fault tolerant mirrored servers. Developed computer room operating proceedures, physical layout, backup proceedures, system configurations.
  • Installed Dyanatel Voice T1 switch, USR modem banks, WAN 56k routers, remote access servers. Designed and installed 100 base-T LAN. Created Windows NT servers, Novell 4.1 mirrored servers, maintained Linux mail server. Scheduled, supervised and hired technicians.

  • Technical Team Leader for software design and development of Naval Submarine Communications program called BaseBand Switch, funded for $4 million. Involves switching synchronous and asynchronous communications including cryptos and radios using cascaded switches. Complex project included multiple processes and multiplexing on HP-UX system utilizing SNMP agents to control equipment and other switches. Created documentation for system architecture, project requirements, design and testing procedures. Prototype coding done in C.
  • Project required contingency plans at multiple levels (personnel, technical and schedule oriented). Worked with multiple off-site development labs to coordinate project and managed conflicting requirements and schedule constraints to arrive at objective.
  • Application development of a program manager’s tool used to assess the progress of a software project. 100% of development done in Borland C++, object oriented database (OODB) development in Poet 2.0, and the interface development in Zinc cross platform GUI builder. Used Booch Methodologies for requirements analysis and high level design, used Booch diagrams for detailed design and scenario diagramming.

    • Awarded the 1997 "Women of Vision Award" by the League of Women Voters for efforts in leading Prop. 208 to be voted into law. This honor has also been given to Former Mayor O’Connor, Helen Copley and ten years prior to another man.

    • Elected State Co-Chair of the Campaign Finance Reform Task Force. Assisted in the writing, deliberation, signature gathering, co-ordination of efforts, press conferences, fundraisers and speaking engagements for Campaign Finance Reform Initiative Proposition 208.
     
    • Campaign Finance Reform Workshop and Panel; created, coordinated and participated in a panel of nationally known Campaign Finance Reform Organizations for the "1995 United We Stand America Conference" in Dallas, Texas which had an attendance of over 8,000, including Members of Congress. Organizations included in the workshops were The Center for Responsive Politics, Common Cause, The National Voting Rights Institute, the Maine Voters for Clean Elections and Members of Congress.
     
    • Provided the conduit for the U.S. House version of the McCain-Feingold Senate Bill called The Bi-Partisan Clean Congress Act of 1995 (H.R. 2566) which was popularized by Ross Perot.
     
    • Instigated the "Repeal of Former House Speakers Perks" bill introduced in 1995 and again in 1997 by Rep. Linda Smith of Washington State.
